Come join us!
Round Table Discussions
We gather monthly for 'clarification of thought' on a variety of topics. The purpose of the Round Table format is for all participants to be on equal footing as part of an inclusive and collaborative dialogue.
Come and see! Join us for one of these community conversations as we dive into topics relevant to us all.
We usually meet on the third Thursday of the month. See calendar here.
Work Days
We host work days throughout the year to focus on various projects for the house or the yard and garden. Come with a friend, with kids, or just yourself and bring whatever gifts you enjoy offering. Yard work, carpentry, interior design, etc... Whatever your skills are, we'd love to work together to grow our community.
In the Spring of 2024, we'll be installing a food forest with the help of Wisconsin Food Forests. Help us plant trees, shrubs, and edibles of all kinds, as well as build large garden beds for the backyard.
Workshops and Other Projects
From Community Singing to retreat-style gatherings in the tradition of The Work That Reconnects, we plan several events throughout the year either hosted at GTCW or nearby in Madison. For 2024, planned (but not yet scheduled) events include a one-day Work That Reconnects retreat, community practice in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), and various food workshops focused on kraut & fermented foods, salsa canning, nourishment in general, and foraging wild salads.
